Tikka T3 Superlight

TK32
A lightweight, easy-handling, all-weather hunter based on Tikka’s two-locking-lug T3 all-weather action. The bolt features a spring-loaded plunger ejector that can easily be stripped down for maintenance. Bolt, receiver and fluted barrel are made of weather-resistant stainless steel. The free-floating, stainless steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged. Single-stage trigger is adjustable from 2 to 4 lbs. Two-stage safety locks both the bolt handle and trigger when engaged.

I bought the only availble 7 rem mag version at my local Cabela’s in Lehi , UT. The primary use will be a back-up mountain rifle for elk, mule deer and black bear. The fit and finish are excellent and I will update after I get to the range, but everything points to this being a very good shooter like my Sakos. I am using DNZ mounts, a Leupold vx3 2.5x8x36 scope, sims limbsaver airtech butt pad ( screw-in , not slip on) and realtree hardwoods claw sling.

The Tikka rebate makes the deal that much better right now as well.
The folks at the shop switched the buttpad and rings and installed the scope while I was there. My all-around round of choice is the Norma 156gr Oryx assuming the T3 likes them as much as my other 7 mag does. If you need a new, accurate rifle at a decent price, this model is well worth a look.
